  1. Teach Sound Doctrine. There is One Source of Life. It’s Christ.  Christ is life for a broken world. Titus 3 – Summation of Titus

    Sermons

Christ is life for a broken world. (ESV)

Titus 3:9 But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, dissensions, and quarrels about the law, for they are unprofitable and worthless.

Elders must care for and make sure the church stays unified and protected from the accusers and teachers of false doctrine.

Titus 1:5 Qualifications for Elders – This is why I left you in Crete, so that you might put what remained into order, and appoint elders in every town as I.

Titus 3:1-3 Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people. For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another.

    One Thing

One thing, one thing I desire; To dwell and to inquire; In Your holy place

One thing, this one thing I seek; A time and place to meet; And see you face to face

One__ thing__ I desire; To dwell in the house of the Lord; All the days of my life

To behold Your beauty, Lord; To know and love You more and more

It’s what I’ve been created for; This one thing

To lean upon the One I love; Safely resting in Your arms; Set Your seal upon my heart

    I desire; this one thing

    Better Is One Day

How lovely is Your dwelling place, O Lord Almighty

My soul longs and even faints for you

For here my heart is satisfied; Within Your presence

I sing beneath the shadow of Your wings

Better is one day in Your courts; Better is one day in Your house

Better is one day in Your courts; Than thousands elsewhere (2X)

One thing I ask and I would seek; To see Your beauty

To find You in the place Your glory dwells

My heart and flesh cry out; For You, the living God; Your Spirit’s water for my soul

I’ve tasted and I’ve seen; Come once again to me; I will draw near to you, To you…

    O Come to the Altar

Are you hurting and broken within; Overwhelmed by the weight of your sin,

    Jesus is calling

Have you come to the end of yourself; Do you thirst for a drink from the well,

    Jesus is calling

O come to the altar; The Father’s arms are open wide

Forgiveness was bought with; The precious blood of Jesus Christ

Leave behind your regrets and mistakes; Come today, there’s no reason to wait,

    Jesus is calling

Bring your sorrows and trade them for joy; From the ashes a new life is born,

    Jesus is calling

Oh what a Savior!  Isn’t He wonderful!     Sing alleluia, Christ is risen.

Bow down before Him, For He is Lord of all; Sing alleluia, Christ is risen

    Kadosh

    Kadosh kadosh kadosh;Kadosh kadosh kadosh
Adonai Elohim tz’va’ot; Adonai Elohim tz’va’ot

    Holy holy holy;Holy holy holy
O Lord our God Lord of hosts; O Lord our God Lord of hosts

Who was and Who is; And Who is to come
Who was and Who is; And Who is to come

    Asher hayah; V’hoveh v’yavo; Asher hayah; V’hoveh v’yavo

Who was and Who is; And Who is to come
Who was and Who is; And Who is to come

    Gracious Lord

Your Grace has been my strength; when I am weakest

And when I’m wounded, Lord, Your grace heals all my brokenness

When I’ve fallen down, I feel Your gentle, loving hand

And I know it’s Your grace by which I stand

    Gracious Lord, God of all compassion;

You have poured your kindness over me

    O my Lord, Jesus by Your mercy;

    I bow down and worship at Your feet;

    Gracious Lord

The Beauty of Your presence overwhelms me

You are clothed in power and reign in perfect purity

All that I possess as an offering I raise

To the Lamb and the praise of His glorious grace

  4. Heirs of the Hope of Eternal Life – An Unclouded Fellowship with God. Titus 3:1-8

    Sermons

Sunday August 23, 2020. Heirs of the Hope of Eternal Life – An Unclouded Fellowship with God.  and Fundamentals of Salvation

Titus 3:1-8. Godly Living and Graces of the Heirs of Grace

Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people. For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. The saying is trustworthy, and I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed in God may be careful to devote themselves to good works. These things are excellent and profitable for people.

    Goal of Salvation:  Eternal Life

Need of God’s Salvation: We were once foolish and slaves

Source of Salvation:  Goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appear (Love of God)

Evidence of Salvation:  Diligence in performing good works

    Grace Like Rain

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound; That saved a wretch like me
And I once was lost but now I’m found; Was blind but now I see so clearly

And Hallelujah, grace like rain falls down on me
And Hallelujah, and all my stains are washed away; They’re washed away

‘Twas grace that taught; My heart to fear; And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear; The hour I first believed

When we’ve been there ten thousand years; Bright shining as the sun
We’ve no less days to sing Your praise; Than when we first begun

    King of Kings

In the darkness, we were waiting; Without hope, without light
‘Til from Heaven You came running; There was mercy in Your eyes
To fulfill the law and prophets; To a virgin came the Word
From a throne of endless glory; To a cradle in the dirt

Praise the Father, praise the Son; Praise the Spirit, three in one
God of glory, Majesty; Praise forever to the King of Kings

To reveal the kingdom coming; And to reconcile the lost
To redeem the whole creation; You did not despise the cross
For even in Your suffering; You saw to the other side
Knowing this was our salvation; Jesus for our sake You died

And the morning that You rose; All of Heaven held its breath
‘Til that stone was moved for good; For the Lamb had conquered death
And the dead rose from their tombs; And the angels stood in awe
For the souls of all who’d come; To the Father are restored

And the church of Christ was born; Then the Spirit lit the flame
Now this gospel truth of old; Shall not kneel, shall not faint
By His blood and in His name; In His freedom I am free
For the love of Jesus Christ; Who has resurrected me, ohh

    Christ Is Risen

Let no one caught in sin remain; Inside the lie of inward shame
We fix our eyes upon the cross; And run to Him who showed great love

And bled for us; Freely You have bled for us

Christ is risen from the dead; Trampling over death by death
Come awake, come awake; Come and rise up from the grave

Christ is risen from the dead; We are one with Him again
Come awake, come awake; Come and rise up from the grave

Beneath the weight of all our sin; You bowed to none but Heaven’s will
No scheme of Hell, no scoffer’s crown; No burden great can hold You down

In strength You reign; Forever let Your church proclaim

O death, where is your sting?; O hell, where is your victory?
O church, come stand in the light; The glory of God has defeated the night

You Are My All In All

You are my strength when I am weak; You are the treasure that I seek
You are my all in all
Seeking You as a precious jewel; Lord, to give up I’d be a fool
You are my all in all

Taking my sin, my cross, my shame; Rising again I bless Your name
You are my all in all
When I fall down You pick me up; When I am dry You fill my cup
You are my all in all

Jesus, Lamb of God; Worthy is Your name; Jesus, Lamb of God; Worthy is Your name

    The Stand

You stood before creation; Eternity within Your hands

And you spoke all life into motion; My soul now to stand

You stood before my failure; And carried the cross for my shame
My sin weighed upon Your shoulders; My soul now to stand

So what can I say; And what could I do; But offer this heart O God; Completely to You

So I’ll walk upon salvation; Your Spirit alive in me

This life to declare Your promise; My soul now to stand

So what can I say; What could I do; But offer this heart O God; Completely to You

So I’ll stand; With arms high and heart abandoned; In awe of the One who gave it all
So I’ll stand; My soul Lord to You surrendered; All I am is Yours

  6. Titus 2:11-15 Grace and Glory of God

    Sermons

    Titus 2:11-15

11 For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. 12 It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, 13 while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

15 These, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you.
