What's new at Hope.

  1. Easter Sunday

Come join our Easter Celebration at 10AM.

This is our greatest celebration of the year!
Come for the music – band and choir, and a Bible talk. The children have their own classes after the main music/worship time.
Please join us to celebrate! Everyone is welcome!
  2. Matt Ryniker Ordination

    Let’s Join in Celebration

Matthew Ryniker Ordination and Cake Reception on Sunday, April 28th, 10AM

Matt is changing positions at Hope Chapel and becomes our Associate Pastor this Sunday, April 28th in the 10AM service after he’s ordained.

Though the youth will miss him in his role as youth pastor, he’ll pick up other responsibilities that bring his many skills and gifts to bear for the entire congregation; he’s already been doing that as Outreach pastor. Mandy Ryniker finishes her nursing training in the next week and graduates also. They are together ready to walk in this new role.

Our Hopekids’ classes begin at 10AM. They’ll come back in at the end of the service so they don’t miss Matt’s ordination. Older kids can either sit on the floor up front or go be seated with their parents.

Come celebrate the gift that Matt is to Hope! A cake reception follows.

  3. “Cat on a Crescent Moon” Performance

Hope Chapel’s performance of the Dennis O’Donnell play “Cat on a Crescent Moon” directed by Brie Tschoepe and produced by Elizabeth Bernhardt.

  4. Gifts Night – A Less Stressed, More Blessed Night of Talent

It’s been a year! Pull out your amazing talents for Gifts’ Night for Wednesday, May 15th from 6:30-8:00 PM. It doesn’t have to be perfect; it’s a variety show in which you provide the variety.

    What

Come Wednesday, May 15th from 6:30-8:00 PM and see your friendly Hopites share their talent:

    • The Bluegrass Special Band (ala Scott McDonald, Tully Rowe, plus)

    • John Patrick Cogdell

    • Thomas Cogdell

    • Kevin Daniel

    • The Fischer Family

    • Joe Friedman

    • The Hope Chapel Drama Team

    • Mark Kovach

    • Judah Lathem

They’ve got music, readings, comedy, something I cannot tell you about, and more music! Join in this old Hope tradition (from 1978-present).

No childcare but kids are welcome!

  5. John Bibee Memorial

    JOHN BIBEE’S MEMORIAL SERVICE

Join us Saturday afternoon, May 18th from 3-4:30 p.m., in the sanctuary to celebrate the life of John Erwin Bibee. A reception with light refreshments follows with a time for friends to share stories about John.

We look forward to seeing and sharing with all who knew and loved him. Please freely extend this invitation to those who may have missed it. All are welcome!

Attire: John wasn’t a particularly fancy man so come dressed in something comfortable. Plaid and Hawaiian shirts were two of his staples – if you have one, wear it in his honor!

    Love,
    The Bibees

  6. Baptism Class

    Hello Parents of Hope!

Our annual baptism Sunday is scheduled for June 2, 2019. If your child has been asking about being baptized this year, please plan on attending two classes with Matt Ryniker and Hala Tompkins on May 22 and 29. We’ll begin at 6:30 in the second grade classroom and be done by 8.

Designed for children aged eight and older, these two classes are designed to help parents and kids determine together if this is the right year for baptism. Because of this, parents are asked to attend both classes with their child.

Contact Hala if you have more questions or would like to sign up for the class. Childcare will be provided upon request.
