Updates from the Children's Ministry.

  1. HopeKids Virtual Connections

    Dear Parents,

We look forward to the day we can resume our HopeKids programs. Until then, please contact Hala for updates on how to subscribe to our weekly children’s worship ideas through Remind, participate in our weekly HopeKids Zoom sessions or to submit art to our HopeKids Art Wall.

  2. Sunday Morning Activity Sheets for Kids

    Dear Parents,

We cannot be together today because of COVID-19 but I am providing family activity sheets for you to print out for your younger children (age 3-6) as they participate in church this Sunday. Please take care of yourselves and each other, and I pray that we are all together worshiping Jesus soon!

  3. Parenting Conversation on February 15

    Dear Hope Parents,

Have you had a baby, finalized an adoption or just realized that you would like to publicly dedicate your child to the Lord Jesus? Good news! We have a service scheduled for Sunday, February 23.

In order to help make the service more meaningful, we ask parents to attend two classes prior to participating. Class one, scheduled for Feb 8 with Geno, covers the “why” of child dedication as well as how to bless your children. Class two, scheduled for Feb 15 with Hala and a panel of experienced parents, covers  the principles of creating a Christian home and protecting your marriage, followed by a great time of Q and A. Both classes are at Hope Chapel and begin at 9:30am. Childcare is provided by reservation and we’ll have a light breakfast while we talk.

All parents are invited to join us for either class whether or not you intend to participate in the dedication service or not.

RSVP to Hala by Feb 10 in order to reserve your spot.

  4. Annual Christmas Program coming on December 8- what parents need to know

Now that we have our building back, the kids get to participate in the Annual Hope Christmas Program and Party again! We’ve been practicing on Sunday mornings and everyone is excited.

Here’s what parents need to know:

There is no dress code for the program, but preschoolers can dress up as either an angel, a shepherd or a wise man for their song. Elementary kids can wear what you want them to wear.

Kids will sit with parents for the whole program this year. We’ll just call them up when it’s time for their song.

Please be in the sanctuary by 4pm on December 8 so we can run through details before the program begins.

Contact Hala if you have questions.

  5. Children’s Baptism Classes in May

    Hello Parents of Hope!

Our annual baptism Sunday is scheduled for June 2, 2019. If your child has been asking about being baptized this year, please plan on attending two classes with Matt Ryniker and Hala Tompkins on May 22 and 29. We’ll begin at 6:30 in the second grade classroom and be done by 8.

Designed for children aged eight and older, these two classes are designed to help parents and kids determine together if this is the right year for baptism. Because of this, parents are asked to attend class with their children each week.

Contact Hala if you have more questions or would like to sign up for the class. Childcare will be provided upon request.

  6. Come watch The Pilgrim’s Progress on March 20

Just in time for spring break:

Hope Chapel has been chosen as a pre-release location of the new movie, The Pilgrim’s Progress. We’ll play on the playground and eat dinner outside starting at 5. The movie will begin at 6:15 in the sanctuary. Bring a friend!

Contact Emily Harris for more details.
