The Men of Hope do not exist merely to be bystanders in God’s kingdom. We are beckoned to step into leadership. We are faithful stewards. We are protectors of His kingdom and His creation, and we boldly follow our Shepherd with passion and conviction.

Meet Our Director

Gustavo was born in Mexico City and then moved to Miami, where he met the Lord at Iglesia de la Biblia Abierta. He then spent 6 years in Houston before moving to Austin to attend UT. After graduating, he joined Samsung Austin Semiconductor as an Electrical Engineer, where he currently works. In Austin, he met his beautiful wife Lisette. They have two awesome kids. The Espinosa family has been attending Hope Chapel since 2013.

  1. Men of Hope: Summer Gatherings

    Men of Hope is gathering this summer—come sharpen iron with iron through prayer, fellowship, and a few hands-on skills. Here’s what’s on the calendar:

    Pickleball & Prayer

    Come play, then come pray. We’re meeting at Pickleball Ranch (Austin Pickle Ranch, 11000 Middle Fiskville Rd, Building B, Austin, TX 78753) on two reserved outdoor courts from 7:00–9:00 PM. Young men ages 16–18 are welcome when accompanied by an adult male they know.

    Men’s Meeting: Basic Car Care

    Roll up your sleeves and learn the fundamentals of car service at the Tompkins’ home on Saturday, June 27, from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM. Guys ages 13 and up are welcome (ages 13–17 should bring an accompanying man). It’s practical car know-how with a small-group twist. For details, contact Glenn Tompkins (gtompkins999@gmail.com).
