This week’s worship songs – and Seek God for the City responsive reading: *************************************************************************
The Lion and The Lamb
He’s coming on the clouds, Kings and kingdoms will bow down
Every chain will break, As broken hearts declare His praise
Who can stop the Lord Almighty
Chorus: Our God is a Lion, the Lion of Judah
He’s roaring with power, and fighting our battles
And every knee will bow before Him
Our God is a Lamb, the Lamb that was slain
For the sins of the world His blood breaks the chains
And every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb
Every knee will bow before Him
So open up the gates, Make way before the King of Kings
The God who comes to save, Is here to set the captives free
For who can stop the Lord Almighty
For who can stop the Lord Almighty
Who can stop the Lord Almighty, Who can stop the Lord Almighty
For who can stop the Lord
Goodness of God
I love You Lord, Oh Your mercy never fails me
All my days, I’ve been held in Your hands
From the moment that I wake up, Until I lay my head
I will sing of the goodness of God
Chorus: All my life You have been faithful
All my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
I will sing of the goodness of God
I love Your voice, You have led me through the fire
In darkest night, You are close like no other
I’ve known You as a father, I’ve known You as a friend
I have lived in the goodness of God
Bridge: Your goodness is running after, It’s running after me (2X)
With my life laid down, I’m surrendered now, I give You everything
Your goodness is running after, It’s running after me
The Lord is Gracious and Compassionate
The Lord is gracious and compassionate, Slow to anger and rich in love (2X)
The Lord is good to all,
He has compassion on all that He has made
As far as the east is from the west
That’s how far He has removed our transgressions from us
As far as the east is from the west
That’s how far He has removed our transgressions from us
Praise the Lord, Oh my soul, Praise the Lord
From the Inside Out
A thousand times I’ve failed, Still Your mercy remains
And should I stumble again, (Still) I’m caught in Your grace
Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never-ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame
Your will above all else, My purpose remains
The art of losing myself, In bringing You praise
Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never-ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame
Bridge: In my heart in my soul, I give You control
Consume me from the inside out, Lord
Let justice and praise, Become my embrace
To love You from the inside out
Chorus: Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never-ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame
And the cry of my heart, Is to bring You praise
From the inside out, oh my soul cries out
Reign Above It All
The reign of darkness now has ended
In the kingdom of light, In the kingdom of light
Forever under Your dominion
You’re the King of my life, You’re the King of my life
Chorus 1: You reign above it all, You reign above it all
Over the universe, And over every heart
There is no higher name
Jesus, You reign above it all
On the cross the work was finished
God, You poured out Your life, Just to give us new life
Now from the lips of the forgiven
Hear an anthem arise, ‘Cause Jesus, You’re alive
Chorus 2: Let all of heaven
And the earth erupt in song
Sing hallelujah to the Everlasting One
There is no higher name
Jesus, You reign above it all
Bridge: You sent the darkness running, Out of an empty grave
Now seated above in glory, Enthroned on the highest praise
You Hem Me In (Psalm 139) Kelsey’s Song
You hem me in, behind and before me
You know me well, You’ve laid your hand upon me
Such knowledge is too great for me to comprehend
Your love surrounding me, You hem me in
Before my birth
In my mother’s womb You formed me
How precious and how vast Your thoughts about me
No matter where I go I can’t escape Your love
Your love pursuing me, You hem me in
Where can I go from Your Spirit? How can I hide from Your presence? (2X)
I praise You for I’m fearfully and wonderfully made, I praise You, my Creator, my Redeemer
I praise You, for Your works O God are wonderful indeed, I will proclaim Your love and faithfulness
Waymaker
(You are) Way Maker, Miracle Worker
Promise Keeper, Light in the darkness
My God – that is who You are (repeat)
Tag: That is who You are, that is who You are (2X)
Bridge: Even when I (we) don’t see it, You’re working
Even when I (we) don’t feel it, You’re working
You never stop, You never stop working (2X)
The Blessing
The Lord bless you and keep you
Make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you
The Lord turn His face toward you
And give you peace
Chorus: A – men, A – men, A-men
Bridge 1: May His favor be upon you
And a thousand generations
And family and your children
And their children and their children
Bridge 2: May His presence go before you
And behind you and beside you
All around you and within you He is with you, He is with you
In the morning in the evening
In your coming and your going
In your weeping and rejoicing, He is for you, He is for you
Tag: He is for you, He is for you (3X) He is for you!!
Seek God For The City Responsive Reading
Leader: This Sunday we are praying for God to pour out fresh rivers of His Spirit, beginning with a reading from Isaiah 44:3-4. For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring, and My blessing on your descendants.
All: They will spring up like grass in a meadow, like poplar trees by flowing streams.
Leader: Let us pray. Pour out Your Spirit with slow, steady abundance, so that many streams begin to flow through desolate places.
Men: Cause many who are dry and lifeless to be revived by the work of Your Spirit.
Women: Divert a gentle river of life from heaven upon our entire city.
All: Inundate us with Your love. Soak us with steady streams so that what now lies dormant will bloom in soon-coming days of blessing.
Leader: Bring the outpouring of Your life on our children.
All: Amen!
Leader: Keep the river running through their lives so that they will grow as strong and tall as trees.
All: Maranatha!
