  1. Christmas Songs & Carols Sing-A-Long on the Lawn

Can’t Promise Snow – Bring Some Friends

Christmas Songs & Carols Sing-A-Long on the Lawn
Saturday, December 18th at 6:00 PM

Hopite John Konakci was inspired by ATX’s Holiday Sing-Along at the Capitol and wanted to do an outdoor Christmas Songs and Carols Sing-A-Long night at Hope Chapel on Saturday, December 18th from 6-7:00 PM.

Our neighbors have gotten familiar with us being out on the lawn in the last year and won’t be surprised to see us outdoors again. And we’re inviting them to join us. Who will you bring? Come with a friend, a co-worker, or some family to join other Hopites, and hopefully, some Brentwood and Crestview neighbors to the sing-along.

  2. Upcoming Makers Market

Make plans now to participate on the Saturday before Halloween, October 30, as Hope Chapel hosts another Makers Market!  Artists and crafts-people of all kinds will bring their hand-made wares for sale.  There will be lots of fun things going on including balloon-twisting, face-painting, and live music.  Food vendors will also be on hand with lovely offerings for lunch and beyond.  The event will run from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm.  In the case of inclement weather, we will move everyone inside the building.

  3. FAM Brunch

Interested in hearing more specific testimony of God’s faithfulness through foster care and adoption?

Join us Saturday, Nov. 6 at 1000am for brunch at Mark Proeger’s home.

Hear from individuals engaged in different aspects of orphan care – including current foster/adoptive parents, adults who grew up with foster siblings in their home and those with intimate knowledge of the child protective services system.  There will be opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the process of becoming a licensed foster or adoption home.

While anyone is welcome to attend, this is a *great* place for those with a stirring from the Lord to open their homes to kids, no matter where you may be on that journey.

  6. FAM Fall Book Study

This fall, FAM (Hope’s Foster Adoptive Ministry) will be leading a book group during Family Night.

We will be reading Until Every Child is Home by Todd Chipman.

Joining this study is far from a commitment to taking kiddos into your home. This book explores why the church should care about orphan ministry. Todd Chipman discusses how foster care and adoption align with bringing the Gospel to a broken world. He explains the multiple support roles it takes for foster and adoptive parents to succeed and outlines how the church can step up into these roles.

Whether you are interested in foster care and adoption personally or are wondering why on earth people at Hope Chapel currently pursue it – come join us 🙂

Family Night starts Sept 8, running Wednesday nights 6-7:30pm throughout the Fall.
