  2. “A Future and A Hope” Conference Feb. 25-26

Friday & Saturday, Feb. 25-26 at First Baptist Georgetown (1333 W. University Ave, Georgetown, TX)

You are invited to A Future and A Hope Conference, which has been a part of the Austin adoption community for over a decade. Learn more about foster care, adoption, and trauma-informed care at AFAH 2022’s A Seat at the Kid’s Table with keynote speakers, Dr. Clarence Hill and Dr. Rosaria Butterfield.

Breakout sessions for everyone! Sessions for exploring foster care and adoption, for post-adoptive families, kinship caregivers, and sessions for those who care about the social issues in our community are offered.

Cost: $30 for Friday, 6-9:00 PM; $30 for Saturday,  9:00 AM-3:30 PM; $50 for both days. Childcare is provided by reservation, but limited. Childcare will close when capacity is reached, or on Feb 9th.

Register for the Conference online HERE. Scholarships are available. For more information and to ask about scholarships, contact Mandy Ryniker, aryniker@gmail.com.

  3. Wednesday Family Night Groups are underway!

Every Wednesday, 6-7:30 p.m. Hope Chapel hosts weekly adult small groups meet for Bible study, fellowship, and support. There’s also a fun & biblical program just for kids. The Junior High youth group meets at the same time. Find out more and check out our current list of adult groups HERE.

Find a group – or start a new one – even if it isn’t on Wednesday nights! If you would like to start a new group or need help finding a group, please contact Pastor Matt Ryniker, mattryniker@gmail.com. Not all small groups must meet at Family Night, so if you’d like to start one in your home, talk with Pastor Matt.

  4. Global Christmas

Each year Hope Chapel gets the opportunity to bless all of our workers around the world. We have done an outstanding job of letting them know they are loved and missed, and I know this year will be the same (y’all are truly a generous bunch).

In the sanctuary, or under the stairs in the coffee shop, you will find cards to write notes of encouragement, as well as a document to fill out for financial gifts to specified workers. Please make it a family activity! The workers enjoy hearing from the younger generations and knowing the gospel is also going forth here in Austin.

Thank you for the love and care you show to those who are serving the Lord in a cross-cultural context. You are greatly appreciated!

    Merry Christmas!

  5. Candlelight Christmas Eve Service at 5:00 PM

Start or Begin A Tradition – Mark Your Calendar

Come as you are: dressed for photos or bring your kids in pajamas. Begin or continue a tradition with Hope at the Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 5:00 PM. Bring your family and friends to sing the carols and hear the story once again of when Hope came as a human and lived among us.

Then stand in the darkness as the first candle is lit and see it slowly spread across the room, candle to candle. Until at last, enveloped in the glow, we remember when The Light came into the world and pierced the darkness.
