What's new at Hope.

  1. Childcare Workers’ Training

This training is for workers who have been hired to care for our kids at Family Night and Ladies’ Bible Study this fall. We will meet in the Lighthouse from 6 to 8pm. Contact Mandy for more information.

  2. Womens Books & Breakfast

“There’s a seamless thread woven through every story in the Bible that connects its people, places and promises to a greater overarching story.”
Whether you’ve grown up hearing Bible stories or you’re exploring Scripture for the first time, the full story of the Bible can be overwhelming. Experience the Bible as a whole as you gain clarity and confidence in your understanding of Scripture. Discover a biblical context that reshapes and brings to life stories from the Old and New Testaments in the study “Seamless.”
Thursday mornings, Sept 7-Nov 9, 9:30-11:30am, Hope Chapel Sanctuary

  3. Citywide Prayer Hyde Park

Come join in the citywide prayer hosted by Hyde Park Baptist Church (3901 Speedway, 78759) on Thursday, September 14th at 7:00 PM. Our city welcomes Jim Cymbala, senior pastor of the Brooklyn Tabernacle, that night. Jim is the author of several books including Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire: What Happens When God’s Spirit Invades the Hearts of His People, a Christian book of the year.

Jim says in an article on prayer, “Let us evaluate the real prospects for a revival of the prayer meeting. According to Paul, it is possible to bring the Church back to God’s priorities. ‘First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men.’ from 1 Timothy 2:1. Whether in preparation for a fresh, powerful move of the Spirit or whether as a sign of an ongoing present revival of the Spirit – the prayer meeting will be paramount in the life of the Church. Hungry, sincere seekers of God will pour out their heart’s desire to Him in corporate prayer. Worship and praise will spontaneously ascend from the spirits of men and women who have seen Him who is invisible.”

  4. 10 Commandments Videos Screening Night

Have you enjoyed the videos for the 10 Commandments sermon series this summer?  Did you miss one, some or all?  Do you have friends or family that missed them and would like to see them?

This is your chance to see all 10 videos, and we will have writers, editors, actors available to answer questions about how this project came together.

So come and bring the family!  Light refreshments will be offered (for a voluntary donation to the building fund) and it should be fun and interesting all at the same time.
