What's new at Hope.

  1. “A Future and a Hope” Conference

Friday & Saturday, Feb. 25-26 at First Baptist Georgetown (1333 W. University Ave, Georgetown, TX)

You are invited to A Future and A Hope Conference, which has been a part of the Austin adoption community for over a decade. Learn more about foster care, adoption, and trauma-informed care at AFAH 2022’s A Seat at the Kid’s Table with keynote speakers, Dr. Clarence Hill and Dr. Rosaria Butterfield.

Breakout sessions for everyone! Sessions for exploring foster care and adoption, for post-adoptive families, kinship caregivers, and sessions for those who care about the social issues in our community are offered.

Cost: $30 for Friday, 6-9:00 PM; $30 for Saturday,  9:00 AM-3:30 PM; $50 for both days. Childcare is provided by reservation, but limited. Childcare will close when capacity is reached, or on Feb 9th.

Register for the Conference online HERE. Scholarships are available. For more information and to ask about scholarships, contact Mandy Ryniker, aryniker@gmail.com.

  2. Screening of film “Sabina: Tortured for Christ, the Nazi Years”

In this 2021 film, discover the amazing true story of Sabina Wurmbrand, a complex woman who discovers a love that fulfills, a love that endures, and a love that forgives. Set in the crucible of war-torn World War II Romania, the true story of Richard and Sabina Wurmbrand is a topsy-turvy adventure through romance, faith and sacrifice. Sabina is the prequel to the 2018 award-winning feature film, Tortured for Christ.

Admission is free. Film is rated PG13 for thematic content, some disturbing images and violence. With this in mind we are offering childcare for those families who have children under age or not mature enough for this movie.
Cost for childcare is $15 per family. The deadline for childcare and payment is Friday, February 25th. Register for childcare HERE.

  3. Dinner Church Closure Gathering

Hope Chapel’s Dinner Church ministry is no longer able to field enough people to consistently serve a hearty meal and host people for conversations about Jesus.  So we are gathering one last time as a ministry group to talk about our time together and what our individual futures may become.
