    Revelation: Eternal King, Everlasting Kingdom

A bible study by Jen Wilkin

Perhaps no other book of the Bible feels as inaccessible and as intimidating to us as the very last one. Two thousand years ago, John’s Revelation was circulated and read aloud among seven churches in Asia Minor. Those who heard the letter understood it and drew encouragement from its message. The same can be true for us today. Over 10 sessions of verse-by-verse Bible study, Jen Wilkin helps us discover how the last book of the Bible—the culmination of God’s great story—speaks both a steadying word of assurance and a strong call to endure to the church in every age.

  3. Women of Hope Spring Books & Breakfast

Join the Women of Hope for Thursday breakfast and studying Esther, a study by Kelly Minter:

A beautiful queen, her courageous cousin, a foreign land, and a murderous adversary—the book of Esther has all the elements of an epic drama. Join us for this 7-session study, where we will look at the daring faith modeled by Esther and her cousin Mordecai—a faith developed over time, rooted in the goodness of God, lived out through extraordinary circumstances, and used to change the world. Although our time looks different from Esther’s, our God is just as active and faithful today, and He has called you for such a time as this.

  5. Women’s Summer Books & Breakfast

Why is it so hard to trust God sometimes?

We say we trust Him with our mouths, but often not with our lives. We live like God can’t be trusted. Like He doesn’t actually want what is best for us. Like He is just another person who, as Eve assumed in the Garden all those years ago, might hold out on us. Bestselling author Jackie Hill Perry, in her much anticipated follow-up to “Gay Girl, Good God,” helps us find the reason we don’t trust God—we misunderstand His holiness. In “Holier Than Thou,” Jackie walks us through Scripture, shaking the dust off of “holy” as we’ve come to know it and revealing it for what it really is. In these pages, we will see that God is not like us. He is different. He is holy. And that’s exactly what makes Him trustworthy. As it turns out, God being “holier than thou” is actually the best news in the world, and it’s the key to trusting Him.
