  2. 8 Minutes Max @ Genuine Joe’s

    Come perform or watch performances on Saturday, March 21st at Genuine Joe’s Coffee Shop, in the Cellar Room, from 7-9:00 p.m. (2001 West Anderson Lane 78757).

    8 Minutes Max is a performance event where Hope Artist can share both completed work(s) and work(s)-in-progress. Audience members are invited to be a part by offering encouraging and loving feedback.

    Performers can sign up at hopearts.org to sing, read your writings, dance, paint, whatever you can fit into eight minutes (or less). More info at hopearts.org/events-details.html.

  3. Moms’ Book Club

    Cherri and Hala are pleased to invite you to join us for a discussion of the book Desperate: Hope for the Mom Who Needs to Breathe by Sarah Mae and Sally Clarkson. The weekly conversation will be led by Cherri. We will discuss two chapters each week, paying special attention to applying the ideas and challenges addressed in the book. Please contact Cherri (Cherri @ mcilheran.com) to let her know you are coming! Bring a friend.
    What: We will discuss the book: Desperate: Hope for the Mom Who Needs to Breathe by Sarah Mae and Sally Clarkson. Participants should order a copy of the book and read the first two chapters prior to our first meeting on January 19.
    When and Where: Monday evenings from 7-8:30 PM at Panera Bread on Capital of Texas Hwy near REI and Whole Foods. We will meet on seven Mondays, ending on March 2.
    Who: Desperate is for those who love their children to the depths of their souls but who have also curled up under their covers, fighting back tears, and begging God for help. It’s for those who have ever wondered what happened to all their ideals for what having children would be like. For those who have ever felt like all the “experts” have clearly never had a child like theirs. For those who have prayed for a mentor. For those who ever felt lost and alone in motherhood.
