Got musicians or budding musicians? All track/sessions are one week long at Hope Chapel’s campus. Depending on age or experience, you will find a class for your needs or the needs of your children.

LITTLE N2WORSHIP
June 10-14, 2024: 9:30 am – 10:30 am
Ages 7 – 9 years – no experience needed

For those who’d like to learn concepts of music through movement and singing. Focusing on how the body moves and responds to music provides an opportunity to grow in music and worship. Students learn about worship and music through dance, flags, and singing with no experience needed. Join us from at Hope Chapel. Register today!

Sing and play instruments (drums, bass, keyboard, guitar and voice) in a group environment to worship the Lord!

Sign up for the N2Worship Evening (experience needed) or the 1/2 Day (no experience needed) session below with optional afternoon session in songwriting and audio engineering intensive.

N2WORSHIP

Ages 10 years and up (including adult) – no previous experience needed

For those with any level of experience on their instrument or voice who desire to learn music and worship. Students do not need any previous experience to participate, and all will be in group lessons based on ability. Students focus on fundamentals of playing and singing alone and in a group. The basic foundational concepts of music and worship of Jesus form the structure of N2Worship. Register today!

DEEPER N2WORSHIP
June 3rd-7th: 6-9:00PM
For students with proficiency in an instrument or vocal skill

A new evening class where students develop skills for playing in larger groups, song selection, arranging, songwriting, and audio production. Focusing on an instrument or vocal that students already have proficiency in allows for deeper experiences and comprehension of more advanced musical and Biblical concepts. Join us for a week of intensive musical study. Register today!

N2WORSHIP SONGWRITING, AUDIO ENGINEERING INTENSIVE

June 10-14, 2024: 1:30-3:30 PM
Ages 10 and up – no experience needed

For those desiring to learn and practice concepts of song creation from start to finished production. Students learn tools for creating music using acoustic and electronic instruments. Registration for this additional session is available in the regular registration forms for the above sessions. It is not available as a stand alone registration.

The N2Worship staff is made up of experienced worship leaders, educators, and professional musicians who are passionate to teach, train, and mentor the next generation for the purpose of raising up more worshipers and worship leaders to bring glory to our Great God.

C.V. Dr. Whitney Crowley is a Hope Chapel member and instrumentalist on the worship team. Her idea of a camp where young musicians could learn to play and lead worship sparked the Hope Worship directors to begin N2Worship in 2007.

Dr. C. taught in public K-12 education for 21 years and is currently an Assistant Professor of Music, the Music Department Chair, and the Symphonic Winds Director at Concordia University, specializing in music education and instrumental ensembles. She is a performing artist herself and has a doctorate in Educational Administration at Concordia Texas, a masters in Music Education at UT Austin, and a BA in Music at Vanderbilt. Hope Chapel’s camp is in good hands.
FAM Lemonade Stand

Your favorite Summer Lemonade Stand is back this year! During Hope’s first Summer Fun Night on June 26 from 5-7pm on Hope’s front sidewalk.

Like every year, our stand raises awareness about Hope Chapel’s Foster & Adopt Ministry to the Brentwood Neighborhood and benefits Foster Village – – a local nonprofit that provides support groups & tangible items for foster families in Austin.

Pickleball and Gaga Ball Summer Fun Night!

Come join us for a fun night of games and good food and the kickoff to our Summer Fun Nights, now complete with small group competition.

Dinner will be provided in the form of good ol’fashioned hamburgers and hotdogs along with sides and drinks.

We will be sectioning off the parking lot to have 3 pickleball courts where we shall host a Pickleball tournament open to all skills and ages.

Inside the playground area we will have a Gaga Ball tournament also open to all skills and age ranges.

The tournaments will start promptly at 6 pm to ensure that we have time to complete the competition before it gets too late.

The Annual Cook Off Fun Night is back!

Friendly competition is not an oxymoron when you love each other! Bring some friends, neighbors, co-workers, and family to the Family Room and taste what Hopites hands hath prepared with “intent to win.”

Feel free to compete in as many of the categories as you like:

• Meats/Main Dishes

• Bread

• Sides

• Salads

• Desserts

Voting will happen. Points will be totaled. And the winners will receive a small prize and eternal glory and recognition.

Sharon Kern Celebration of Life

CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE: TUESDAY, AUGUST 6th at 3:30PM

Our dear, sweet friend and Hopite, Sharon Kern, went to be with Jesus last Saturday. Please join Sharon’s family as we celebrate her life on Tuesday, August 6th at 3:30PM at Hope Chapel (6701 Arroyo Seco, 78757). This service will not be livestreamed.

RECEPTION AFTER THE SERVICE – PLEASE RSVP

Join us in the Family Room for a reception after the service.

Hopites can RSVP on Realm if you’re attending plus add if you are able to bring a dessert or snack to share. Other friends of Sharon can RSVP to Joelene Michel to help us plan (if you’re bringing something, please let her know). Sharon’s favorite desserts were lemon meringue pie or anything lemon like lemon bars.

A NOTE FROM JACK

From Jack Dorman, long time friend of Sharon, elder, and Pastor Emeritus, “…Sharon often talked of longing to be with Jesus and her dear husband…We are comforted to know where she is. I pray for us all and rejoice in this passage from Romans 8.

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. for the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God…who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved…But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.

Come join us for a competitive Summer Fun Night of Pickleball and Cosmo Raines’ DIscGO! – both for all ages – plus good food (TBA) for our final 2024 Summer Fun Night!

The tournaments will start promptly at 6:00 PM to ensure we have time to complete the competition before it gets too late (the darkness comes earlier than in June).
