What's new at Hope.

  1. Joint Baptism Service & Picnic to follow

Our annual baptism service for children and adults plus a church-wide picnic and backyard water sliding event on our playground is almost here. That day preschool classes will start after worship; there are no elementary kids’ classes this day. Following the service, we’ll have the baptism service in our front yard. Then we’ll head to the backyard for a picnic and inflatable water sliding.

Please bring a side dish to share, swim things if you plan to get wet, and lots of sunscreen. Hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and all the trimmings will be provided. Side dishes as follows (by letter of your last name):

    A-H    Vegetable Dish

    I-Q    Salad

    R-Z    Dessert

  2. Audrey Lopata Illustrated Gospel of John Gallery Exhibit and Reception

Audrey’s work is amazing. Her illustration of the Word being made flesh as the Holy Spirit overshadows Mary is wonder personified.

For the past 80 some odd days, our illumining artist, Audrey Lopata, has undertaken illustrating the Gospel of John.

Come tonight from 7-9:00 PM as Audrey hosts an exclusive gallery-style exhibit at Hope. As she puts it, “For the opening ceremonies I will probably say a few words on what possessed me to do such a thing, and reflect on the experience, and then faint, cause, ya know…public speaking :/”

“The evening is expected to be a rare intersection of our broader community life, worship, art, and joy in the Holy Spirit for all persons alike. Other inducements for attendance include a magazine/booklet with the complete collection of illustrations for perusal and possible purchase,” says Kevin Daniel, HopeArts’ intern.

And, of course, receptions always have food so come mill about and discuss!

  3. Backyard Bible Club/Good News Bible Club

If you have children ages 4-11, they are welcome to join us in Hope’s front yard June 22-25 for our Backyard Bible Club. A team of teens from Hill Country Bible Church will be leading the club each day. I guarantee it will be great! Club starts at 10am each day. Text Matt Ryniker and let him know how many kids you are bringing.

  4. Worship Night

Come spend an extended time in worship with Adrienne Neusch. Adrienne, who grew up at Hope Chapel and is now a worship leader and worship teacher to many in a foreign land we love and is coming to spend some time leading us in worship that night. She is home for part of the summer at her home church. You can hear some of Adrienne’s music here.

Everyone is welcome – we want to honor God and increase the praise going up from our planet to the One who is worthy of ALL praise. Come fill the auditorium with songs, dance, praise, and passion. Let’s more deeply discover the very thing which God created us for – to experience His Glory!

     Childcare is now closed.

  5. Scripture Together
