What's new at Hope.

  1. Tuesday Bible Chat

TUESDAY BIBLE CHAT @ 6:30 PM
Join Geno Hildebrandt, Hope’s Senior Pastor, for weekly Zoom Bible Chat meetings. Each week, he’ll take up a topic and ask the question, “What does the Bible say about that?” Tonight we discuss how parents (and others) can help our children through this season of being locked down.  Our aim is to provide practical helps and encouragement.

As a special bonus our own children’s director, Hala Tompkins, joins in this evening to provide insight, counsel and encouragement as well as answer questions folks may have.

They’ll start by offering reflections on the matter and then throw the conversation open to all those who have gathered. While there will be some teaching involved, Geno’s desire is for our community to serve one another with wisdom and insight through this process as we listen well to each other.

  2. Sunday Morning Livestream at 10AM

Join us for our livestreaming service with worship (singing) and the Bible explained in a sermon this Sunday at 10:00 AM. Invite someone to the service with you – they’ll be home anyway probably. Please feel free to share the link: https://youtu.be/KxAZEFFvfmo

You can also find us by looking for “Live” on our YouTube home page at youtube.com/hopechapelatx

Our Sunday livestream is our primary way to worship during the Covid-19 social distancing while we’re out of the building. We see the people of Hope Chapel as the “church” not our building that houses us when we meet.

Jude: Contending for the Faith in Today’s Culture

While often overlooked, the Book of Jude remains as relevant today as the time it was written.
God has commanded His beloved church to do the necessary work of contending for the faith in
a world of unbelief, and as we do, He will keep us from falling into the same deception.
In this 7-session study from Jackie Hill Perry, dive into themes of being called, loved, and kept,
and learn how to point others to Jesus in grace and truth. We serve others well when we share the
whole gospel with them, not just the parts deemed attractive by our culture.

    Dates: June 4th -July 16th , 2020
    Time: TBD
Location: Online using Zoom. You will get the meeting invitation once you sign up online.

Contact Aubrey Johnson (Johnson_ah@yahoo.com) or Abigail Cunningham
(abi.cunningham@gmail.com) for more information regarding this study.

  5. Worship on the Lawn

Hope has an outdoor service on the front lawn from 9-10AM with musical worship and a shorter-than-the-livestream sermon.

This informal service is designed with families in mind. HopeKids’ classes start right at 9AM, drop off begins at 8:50AM in the Family Room. Jr. High meets on the 2nd and 4th Sundays

In inclement weather, the service is canceled and the Children’s Ministry classes move to the 10AM Indoor Service (masks required).

Please use verbal and social cues at this service and respect other people’s boundaries. Some people are not ready for hugs or handshakes yet.

If anyone in your family shows signs of any illness, please stay home – just like always.
