What's new at Hope.

  1. Concert of Prayer and Anniversary of the Malatya Martyrs

This coming Monday, April 18th, we recognize the ninth anniversary of the shocking, brutal murder and modern-day martyrdom in Malatya, Turkey of three servants of Christ which caught the attention of the world and of The Church.

Since then much, much martyrs’ blood has been spilled in our world and so the Malatya Martyrs can be overlooked or even forgotten. This prayer gathering is for us to never forget that severe persecution exists in Turkey, one of the nations we pray for.

Britt and Jonelle Tucker, who currently serve as pastors at Hope in the City are giving a special report on the rising pressure on the Turkish Church.

Come hear, pray, and worship God from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Hope in the City joins with us to bless the the nation of Turkey, the persecuted church there, and the foreign mission workers with our prayers.
  2. Reception Two • for Friends from Overseas

Our missions’ friends are finishing up their year sabbatical in the US and visiting us before they return overseas. They speak to us in the Sunday morning service about what is coming up for them. We’ll host a reception immediately after the service on Sunday, April 17th to catch up with them and celebrate their visit. Plan to stay after the service for light refreshments and see them.

  3. Missions Leadership Team

The Missions Leadership Team is charged with oversight of the missions program at Hope Chapel.

  4. Men of Faith

Men will gather for prayer in the Den upstairs. We will pray for each other, pray for Hope Chapel and its leadership, pray for Austin, the U.S. and the world.

  5. Adult Baptism Class

One of the most important things we do at Hope after seeing people meet and choose Jesus as their Savior is seeing them follow His example of being baptized. In fact, it’s the last commandment Jesus gave to His disciples before He ascended into heaven: to make more disciples and baptize them. Wonder why? Come join Geno on Saturday, May 14th from 10-11:30 a.m. in the Lighthouse to learn more about this step for followers of Christ. Everyone gets a class outline and Geno includes a question-and-answer session. To sign up or if you have questions, contact Geno.

  6. Men of Faith

Hope Chapel’s Men of Faith will gather in the Den upstairs to pray for each other, the church and its leadership, Austin, Texas and our nation.
