    Jude: Contending for the Faith in Today’s Culture

    While often overlooked, the Book of Jude remains as relevant today as the time it was written.
    God has commanded His beloved church to do the necessary work of contending for the faith in
    a world of unbelief, and as we do, He will keep us from falling into the same deception.
    In this 7-session study from Jackie Hill Perry, dive into themes of being called, loved, and kept,
    and learn how to point others to Jesus in grace and truth. We serve others well when we share the
    whole gospel with them, not just the parts deemed attractive by our culture.

    Dates: June 4th -July 16th , 2020
    Time: TBD
    Location: Online using Zoom. You will get the meeting invitation once you sign up online.

    Contact Aubrey Johnson (Johnson_ah@yahoo.com) or Abigail Cunningham
    (abi.cunningham@gmail.com) for more information regarding this study.

  2. Worship on the Lawn

    Hope has an outdoor service on the front lawn from 9-10AM with musical worship and a shorter-than-the-livestream sermon.

    This informal service is designed with families in mind. HopeKids’ classes start right at 9AM, drop off begins at 8:50AM in the Family Room. Jr. High meets on the 2nd and 4th Sundays

    In inclement weather, the service is canceled and the Children’s Ministry classes move to the 10AM Indoor Service (masks required).

    Please use verbal and social cues at this service and respect other people’s boundaries. Some people are not ready for hugs or handshakes yet.

    If anyone in your family shows signs of any illness, please stay home – just like always.

    Worship on the Lawn – Lyrics – June 14, 2020

    Up Above My Head

    Up above my head, I hear music in the air (3X)                                    And I really do believe.  I really do believe Heaven’s coming right here Up above my head there’s singing in the air…All over this place there’s angels everywhereHeaven come right here. (echo?)  Heaven come right here                                                                Let your kingdom come.   Let your will be done, Right here on Earth as it is up there.Heaven come right here. Heaven come right here.  Heaven come right here All over the world, there’s trouble everywhere… (3x)But I really do believe Heaven’s coming right here Music makes the world go ‘round.  It makes people happy that’s what I’ve found.Sing a song you’ll be happy and free, so gather round children and follow me. Well, I’ve got a soul that’s weary and worn, but I’ve heard the music since the day I was born.I’m not afraid of what the good Lord said, cause I’ve heard the music and it’s..

    Lord, You Sure Been Good To Me

     (call) Lord, Lord, Lord,  (response) you’ve sure been good to me (3X)

    You have done what this world cannot do

    (call) Woke me up this morning.  (response) You’ve sure been good to me (3x)

    You have done what this world cannot do.

    (call) When I’m sick (response) You heal my body and soul (3x)

    You have done what this world cannot do

    (call) You’ve healed my broken heart,  (response) You sure been good to me (3x)

    You have done what this world cannot do

    Well, you’ve done what this world cannot do,

    From fire and flood you’ve brought me through

    You’ve crowned me with lovingkindness too, You’ve done what this world can never do

    Lord, Lord, Lord (echo)       You’ve been good to me  (echo) (3x)

    You’ve rescued my soul from sin and shame

    King of My Heart

    Let the King of my heart be the mountain when I run, the fountain I drink from;

    Oh He is my song

    Let the King of my heart be, the shadow where I hide, the ransom for my life;

    Oh He is my song

    You are good good, Oh  You are good, good Oh

    Let the King of my heart be, the wind inside my sails, the anchor in the waves;

    Oh He is my song

    Let the King of my heart be, the fire inside my veins, and the echo of my days;

    Oh He is my song

    You’re never gonna let, Never gonna let me down (5X)

    When the night is holding onto me, God is holding on

    No Longer Slaves

    You unravel me, with a melody, You surround me with a song, Of deliverance, from my enemies Till all my fears are gone;  I’m no longer a slave to fear, I am a child of God

    From my Mother’s womb, You have chosen me, Love has called my name
    I’ve been born again, into your family, Your blood flows through my veins

    You split the sea, so I could walk right through it,                                                              All my fears were drowned in perfect love
    You rescued me, so I could stand and sing, I am a child of God

    Our Father

    Our Father in Heaven, Hallowed be Your name
    Your Kingdom come quickly, Your will be done the same

    On Earth as it is in Heaven, Let Heaven come to
    Earth as it is in Heaven, Let Heaven come

    Let Heaven come, let Heaven come

    Yours is the Kingdom, Yours is the power, Yours is the glory forever, amen
    Yours is the Kingdom, Yours is the power, Yours is the glory forever amen
