What's new at Hope.

  1. Palm Sunday Morning Livestream at 10AM

Join us for our livestreaming service with worship (singing) and the Bible explained in a sermon this Sunday at 10:00 AM. Invite someone to the service with you – they’ll be home anyway probably. Please feel free to share the link freely  You can also find us weekly by looking for the video marked “Live” on our YouTube home page at  youtube.com/hopechapelatx

Our Sunday livestream is our primary way to worship during the Covid-19 social distancing while we’re out of the building. We see the people of Hope Chapel as the “church” not our building that houses us when we meet. So come be a part of our church.

Check out hope.org for more events happening on Zoom and WebEx weekly also.

  2. Palm Sunday Eve Livestream with Steve Hawthorne

Missing your Palm Sunday Steve Hawthorne fix? Check this out:

    Dear Hopites,
I’m inviting you to experience a special Palm Sunday message this Sunday evening (April 5) at 8:00pm Central / 6:00pm Pacific. I’ll be speaking for about 45 minutes, describing the rich, biblical background that makes Jesus’ actions and words on that great day so significant in our day. And all the more in the midst of the crisis we face. I think you’ll be encouraged by this word.

I had originally been scheduled to speak in Corvallis, Oregon to people from dozens of churches in central Oregon, an area called the Willamette Valley. Thousands of people in that area have been praying together using Seek God for the City, which culminates on Palm Sunday. With the pandemic crisis, travel and gathering was not possible. So the tech guys at Hope Chapel very graciously agreed to help live-stream the message.

Since the event will livestream on YouTube, nothing could be easier for you or your friends to take it in. No registration or extra software is required. Simply click on the YouTube website using this link: https://bit.ly/2JyyqHz

It will be a one hour event, starting at 8:00pm Central time, which of course will be 6:00pm in Oregon. The event will be recorded so that you can simply click on the same link and view the message at a later time. Please invite others to view this message, live as it takes place, or anytime after.

    Gladly in grace,
    Steve Hawthorne

  3. What is Easter?

Join us for our Livestream Easter service on April 12th at 10AM for more understanding as our church celebrates this day.

    From the Oxford English Dictionary,
Easter Day, which falls on Sunday for most Christians in the U.S., celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. After being executed on a cross on Good Friday, Jesus was buried in a tomb. That first Easter, some 2,000 years ago, God the Father raised Jesus from the dead.

  4. Tuesday Bible Chat

TUESDAY BIBLE CHAT @ 6:30 PM
Geno Hildebrandt, Hope’s Senior Pastor, has begun a series of weekly Zoom Bible Chat meetings. Each week, he’ll take up a topic and ask the question, “What does the Bible say about that?”

    THIS WEEK’S TOPIC

    Relationships

Geno will start by offering his own reflections on the matter and then throw the conversation open to all those who have gathered. While there will be some teaching involved, Geno’s desire is for our community to serve one another with wisdom and insight through this process as we listen well to each other.
