What's new at Hope.

  1. Kindness Outreach Canceled

    Dearly Beloved Hope-folk,

Due to the forecasted 100% chance for inclement weather tomorrow, Saturday, November 22nd, we are CANCELING our planned grocery-bag giveaway.

We will re-schedule this outreach for later in the year as we approach the Christmas holidays.

We are asking those who have planned to bring filled bags to the building tomorrow to simply wait until Sunday and just bring them to church. We will collect and store them for our future kindness outreach.

    I appreciate your understanding,

  2. Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Collection Day

Sunday, November 23, is the last day to bring your filled shoe boxes to Hope Chapel and have us deliver them to the drop off point for you.

Bring your filled shoe boxes to Hope any Sunday in November and leave them in the collection bin under the Operation Christmas Child display in the foyer or near the coffee shop. We’ll make sure they are delivered safely and on time.

If you aren’t sure how to pack a shoebox or how to pay for the shipping, just go HERE. You’ll find all the information you need.

  3. Lessons and Carols Dress Rehearsal

Kids from ages 3 through fifth grade are encouraged to attend this dress rehearsal. Parents of elementary kids can drop them off and come back by 11 AM. Parents of preschoolers should plan on staying to help with crowd control, etc. Contact Hala if you have questions.

  4. Christmas Eve Service at 5:00 PM

Invite a friend, coworker, or neighbor now for the Christmas Eve Service at 5:00 p.m. on the 24th.

Come dressed for photos in front of the tree or bring the kids in pajamas. Invite your family and friends to sing the carols and hear the story once again of when Hope came as a human and lived among us.

Then stand in the darkness as the first candle is lit and see the glow slowly spread across the room, candle to candle. Until at last, enveloped in the glow, we remember when The Light came into the world and pierced the darkness.

  5. Conversations with Jesus

In this class we will experience and explore the various conversations that people had with Jesus over the course of his earthly live. We will move more or less chronologically though the Gospels ending with His conversation with the disciples on the beach, just before His resurrection. In addition to examining these conversations we will be in conversation with them and seek to apply their content to our own daily lives.  This class meets during the first service and ends in time to greet people between services.  The first half hour each Sunday morning will feel more like a small group as we chat and check in with each other.
