Hope Blog

What's new at Hope.

  1. Pray for America

An opportunity for Hope Chapel to obey Isaiah 60:1-3 – “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon and his glory appears over you.”

We will not engage in partisan politics, but intercede for our country by praising God and praying against the strongholds of darkness in our nation.

  2. Adventure For The City Focus Group

If you have a child who attended the Adventure For the City camp at Hope Chapel, please Matt, Suzi and Hala for a discussion of how camp worked for your family and our efforts to bless the Brentwood neighborhood.

Matt will facilitate a time of questions and answers and discussion. Snacks will be served. We want to hear from parents as we make plans for next year.

  3. Luncheon Book Release and Talk

Are we in a Jubilee year, and why that matters.

Come hear about Bob O’Dell’s newest book, Jubilee NOW!

RSVP for sandwich Lunch by emailing Bob O’Dell, rodell.austin@gmail.com

  4. Fireside Gathering Training

Announcing the beginning of Hope’s initiative for small gatherings of prayer and worship in homes! Fireside Gatherings are 1-hour long worship and prayer times where all participants are actively engaged in praying for our local needs and our workers abroad.

    HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?

You can offer your home to host a once a month session (October, November, & January), lead worship in a home, or become a prayer facilitator.

Contact Ceci Proeger at ceci@theproegers.com or text 512-521-9922 or Deb Dorman, deb@thedormans.com

We will train prayer leaders and worship leaders for our Fireside gatherings, which will take place in homes across the city in October, November and January.  Included in our training will be opportunity to practice the model we will be using in homes.
