What's new at Hope.

  1. Thursday Night Church

Thursday Night Church (TNC) starts up again this Thursday, January 7th at 7:00 p.m. In the new year, Brett Hart is teaching and leading the discussion and Geno Hildebrandt leads worship. Come early for a light meal made by Brett at 6:30 p.m.

Thursday Night Church opens with some art, continues with the sermon and discussion, and ends the evening with worship and prayer.

If you don’t attend on Sunday mornings (Children’s classes available), then come to Hope’s 2nd service on Thursdays (no child care or classes for kids).

  2. Men of Faith Meeting

Hope Chapel’s Men of Faith meets on selected Saturdays from 8:30-10:30 a.m. in the upstairs Den to pray for each other and for the church.

Our goal is to draw closer to God and each other so that we become more effective prayer warriors. Our upcoming meetings are on:

     January 9th, 23rd

    February 6th, 20th

    March 5th, 19th (Easter is Mar. 27)

    April 2nd, 16th

    May 7th, 21st

We welcome the men of Hope to join us

  3. Unceasing Prayer

Unceasing Prayer Third Friday Every Month

Hope Chapel is still covering the city in prayer one day a month but this year our day changes and we are praying – alongside The Austin House of Prayer – on the 3rd Friday of the month. Pray in Hope’s prayer room or pray at your workplace or home by choosing an hour between 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM.

The vision of the Unceasing Prayer Initiative is to see the Austin area covered in unceasing prayer (1 Thess. 5:17) until the Lord returns, a unified church with one heart to see God transform our city!

Contact Marty St. Onge if you’d like to sign up for an hour.

  4. Time of Prayer for Missions

On Sunday, Geno asked the Hope Chapel congregation to join in prayer and fasting for the group who meets all day this Saturday, January 16th to hear the Lord about Hope’s missions’ decisions. He asked us to fast this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from food (non-solid diet) and/or from media and spend that time in prayer for the Mission’s group to have:

        • ears to hear

        • an ability to focus

        • Unity, and

        • for whatever the Lord shows you how to pray for them.

Geno invited anyone who’d like to come pray on Friday night the 16th to close out the time to meet in the main auditorium at 7:00 p.m.

  5. Faith, Evidence, and The Resurrection Hope 301 Class

    Led by Tim Margheim

We are called to faith in Jesus, “declared to be the Son of God…by His resurrection”. But what can we know, 2000 years later? In this class, we will discuss the role of evidence in our faith, and examine the evidence for Jesus’ resurrection, including video teachings from Dr. Gary Habermas. As we approach Easter, we will explore the meaning of the Resurrection, preparing our hearts to walk with the Resurrected Christ.

This class will meet in the downstairs classroom nearest the sanctuary.
