What's new at Hope.

  1. Family Night

Hope Chapel’s Family Night allows small groups to meet in-person on campus and provides a concurrent, fun, & biblical kids’ program. For the convenience of our families, the Junior High youth group also meets during the same time. The building opens up at 5:50PM for early check-in for the Children’s Ministry. Family Night runs from 6:00 to 7:30PM.

    COVID-19 ADAPTATIONS
No meal will be served prior to small group meetings at 6:00. Inside the building, all adults are required to wear masks. If anyone in your household has been ill in the past week, please keep your whole family home until all are healthy.

    LOOKING FOR A GROUP?
Currently, Hope Chapel small groups are meeting in a variety of ways. Some are completely online; some are hybrid and others meet in person. If you are interested in joining a small group, contact Matt Ryniker, Associate Pastor, to help you find one.

  2. Kids’ Walk Through The Bible

Note: This event is now full.  Please use the form below to sign up for the wait list.

Kids can learn the big story of the Bible in an interactive, five hour session.

There’s a lot to remember in the Bible. And it can be overwhelming and confusing. But through the Walk Thru the Old Testament live event, in just a few short hours, your kids can learn what would have taken years by just reading the Bible—and they’ll enjoy themselves in the process!

This August your kids, ages kinder and up, can spend a fun day or evening learning the big story of the Bible at Hope Chapel.  We are hosting two Kids’ Walk Through The Bible sessions on August 4 and August 7.  Both sessions are the same.  Only the times are different.  The cost is $10 per child, plus a sack lunch for your child.

    Here are the details:

    Thursday, August 7

This class begins at 3 PM and ends at 8 PM.  Your child will need to bring a sack lunch for their dinner. Refrigerators are available to keep things cold.

Feel free to bring your friends to this event, however, priority will be given to Hope Chapel kids.

  3. Austin Baptist Chapel Donation Drive

Bring your non-perishable food items, travel-sized toiletries, toothbrushes and (brand new) white socks to the drop off basket in the foyer or the coffee shop. The Kids of Hope will collect them and get them to the ABC Soup Kitchen to bless needy Austin families. The donations can be dropped off at Hope between Sunday, June 21 and Sunday, July 19.

Contact Hala if you have questions or would like flyers to take to your neighbors and friends.

  4. Austin LifeCare donation drive

The Kids of Hope are filling up baby bottles with coins to bless Austin LifeCare in their ministry to mothers, fathers and babies. If you would like to participate in this donation drive, pick up a baby bottle from the basket in the foyer or the coffee shop. Take it home, fill it up and bring it back to Hope Chapel by August 23. We’ll deliver the filled bottles to Austin LifeCare on Anderson Lane. There are plenty of bottles if you’d like to take extras for your family and friends.

    Questions? Contact Hala.

  5. Family Fun Wednesday

    Calling all Hope parents:

Are you looking for fun ways to get to know other Hope families this summer? Jump in and join us for a fun Wednesday activity in July.

We’ll be at the Mueller Playground on Wednesday, July 13, at 10am. Bring your lunch and lots of water and sunscreen! This playground is across the street from the Thinkery, so if you want to make a whole day of it, you can head there when the heat really gets unbearable.

Join us at Kiddie Acres on Wednesday, July 20. We’ll meet there at 10am and enjoy half-price Wednesday.

Other fun July activities are being planned. Contact Missy at Mrshui 26 @yahoo. com with your questions or suggestions.

Get out and enjoy the summer with your friends!

  6. Parenting Conversation

Join Hala Tompkins and other experienced parents for a conversation about training our kids, frustration, anger and all that goes along with being a parent. We will discuss two previously assigned readings in order to have a common starting point.

Space is limited!  Sign up and request childcare by sending Hala an email.

Saturday, September 22 from 9am to noon in the pastors’ office conference room.
