Hope Blog

What's new at Hope.

  1. Sunday School Helper Training

All junior high and high school students who want to help in a HopeKids’ class on Sunday mornings are invited to join Mrs. Hala for a brief training session. We’ll discuss what makes a helper truly great, how to become a regular helper, and what other opportunities are available for those who don’t want to actually be in a classroom.

We will meet in the Lighthouse at 12:15 and be done by 1pm.

RSVP to Hala or just show up. All are welcome.

  2. Childcare Worker Training

Bi-annual, mandatory meeting for all paid caregiver positions at Hope Chapel. Dinner is provided.

    Contact Hala for more details.

  3. Wednesday Night Kids’ Club

A fun kids’ program with an emphasis on scripture memorization. Kids fifth grade and under meet while their parents meet in Hope Groups at Family Night.

    Contact Hala for more information.

  4. Children’s Baptism Class #2

    Dear Parents,

Two more baptism classes (taught by Pastor Matt)  are now scheduled for Saturday, September 17 (9:30-11am) and Wednesday, September 28 (6-7:30 pm). Parents are strongly encouraged to attend these classes with their children. Childcare is provided by contacting Hala.

The baptism service will be on October 9. This service will be followed by an outdoor water fun day on our playground, as is our custom.

Remember that we’ve designed the baptism classes to help parents decide whether or not their children are ready for baptism. If you are unsure about whether or not this is the right year, class number one will help you decide.

Adults who would like to be baptized should simply contact Pastor Matt. He will be happy to talk with you!

Let Hala know if you have any kid-related questions!

  5. MOPS@Hope Preschool Story & Music Time

Mothers of Preschoolers are invited to join MOPS@Hope for a Preschool Costume party and Storytime. Miss Ariel will lead the children in fun songs of the season.

We’ll meet on the playground from 10-11:30. In case of rain, we’ll move inside to the Family Room.
