Hope Family NightWednesday Night Small Groups Meeting in Homes

What is Family Night?

At Hope Chapel, everyone’s family!

If you go to Hope, you’re Family! Everyone is welcome: bring the kids, your roommate, or come alone to meet with one of the small groups, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. We have programs for children from ages 0 through junior high, along with groups for adults.

Some of these groups meet at Hope Chapel, some meet in homes. Please contact the individual group below for meeting location.

Family Night Hope Groups

McCharen Hope Group

A family-oriented group that gathers to love, worship, and study God. They focus on growing in community through prayer, sharing, Bible study, and practicing the “one anothers” of scripture.

Tompkins Hope Group

Our group is composed of marrieds and singles, old and young. We are finishing up a study of Galatians and will continue to meet through the spring in a home close to Hope Chapel. Contact Hala if you are interested in joining us this week.

Dooldeniya Hope Group

A group primarily for couples which focuses on marriage and family issues.

Cunningham Hope Group

This is a group for (but not limited to) families who want to meet earlier in the day. We want to commune, build friendships, learn more about Jesus, and maybe even swap stories about raising our kids. Parents will take turns watching the kids, while everyone else meets.

Good and Beautiful Discipleship Group

A group that meets for the purpose of going through the three book “Good and Beautiful” discipleship series beginning this semester with book one, Good and Beautiful God. This group is mostly full already but if there is enough interest we will offer a second group. Please let us know if you are interested.

HopeArts Family Night Group

Family Night, 6:30-8:00 PM, in Art Studio

Meets corporately in the studio space; writers and performers alongside visual artists, we communally and intentionally provide an atmosphere of open creation and ongoing discussion. Evenings begin with prayer, liturgy, and an individual offering of a piece of art (personal or from a classical master), then we turn towards discussion and creation. Open silence, long pauses, and just being still are also encouraged. Currently reading Madeline L’Engle’s “Walking on Water” together.

Other Hope GroupsHome-based Small Groups

These groups are currently meeting in the homes of various Hopeites. To join one or learn more, get in touch with the group's listed contact.

The Seedlings Hope Group

Sunday evenings in northeast Austin

The Seedlings is a neighborhood-oriented small group that is open to people participating with us in community from our neighborhood. We typically begin by talking administratively about our life together, then we listen to prayer requests and pray one for another, then we share a light meal together. Sometimes we read a book together, sometimes we engage in mission together. Always we strive to walk in and share God’s peace with one another and those around us in the ‘hood.

McDonald/Rowe Hope Group

Every other Sunday evening in south Austin

Deeper Still Women’s Group

First and third Fridays at Hope Chapel

Fresh Encounter Prayer Group

Monday evenings at Hope Chapel

We are a group of praying Watchmen on the Wall praying for Hope Chapel, its leadership, ministries, congregation, neighborhood community and Austin. Our group grew out of a Henry Blackaby Bible study called Fresh Encounter focusing on revival and restoration for our church community and beyond. We welcome others to join us in this non-traditional small group setting.
