Families with children in foster care require certified babysitters recognized by fostering agencies in order to leave their kids in the care of others. It can be challenging to have such a limited number of options when childcare is needed for foster homes.
On the morning/early afternoon of Oct 1 FAM will present at one stop shop for Hope Chapel (and beyond!) to become certified through a local agency, Helping Hand Home. (Currently – all of Hope’s foster families use this agency.)
This day will include CPR training, the paperwork needed for certification, and a presentation about foster care and TBRI techniques. At the end of this training day, participants will only need to schedule a fingerprint appointment at a third party location to complete the babysitting (or “respite”) certification process.
Come enjoy breakfast with us and help us support the foster care families in our congregation (and beyond!).
Childcare will be provided for this event until full. Signups coming soon.
