What's new at Hope.

  1. January 20, 2019 – First Sunday in New Spaces

    Community Updates

The time has finally come! We just received our final approval and January 20 will be our first Sunday back  in our new, beautiful building. If you are new to Hope, you probably don’t even remember having classes in the building (we flooded in the Memorial Day floods of 2015). Your kids don’t either. This Sunday is the beginning of a new era at Hope Chapel. Don’t miss it!

Classes for kids in Kindergarten and younger are on the ground floor. The rooms will be marked to make it simple to find the one you need. Elementary classes will be held upstairs and will also be labeled.

Each child in our HopeKids program needs to be checked in at one of two kiosks: in the foyer on your way into the sanctuary or near the coffee shop. No matter the age of your child, please check them in and have them wear their name tag to class.

Children preschool-aged and younger can be checked in and brought to their classrooms at 9:55 on Sunday. Kindergarten and elementary grades will worship with parents and then be released to their classes.

As always, there will be friendly people in blue HopeKids t-shirts to help you in any way needed.

    Let the celebrations begin!

  2. Parent/Child Dedication Classes coming in February

    Children's Ministry

Calling all new parents! Have you had a baby in the past few months or years? Have you considered publicly dedicating your child to the Lord Jesus? Do you have questions about how to create a Christian home?

Plan to join Pastor Geno Hildebrandt and Children’s Ministry Director Hala Tompkins for two classes on Saturday, February 2 and 9, 2019. We will discuss the significance of child dedication, parents’ responsibilities in raising their children in the “fear and admonition of the Lord” and how to bless your children. We’ll also talk about Christian parenting and creating a Christian home. Couples are encouraged to attend these classes together.

Sign up for the classes and childcare by completing the form below.

  5. AtHome Weekly available online for parents

    Community Updates

    Dear Parents,

As a way to partner with you as you disciple your children, we are happy to provide you with a PDF of the AtHome Weekly handout.

AtHome Weeklies are far more than a “Take-Home” page: they allow you to pre-teach the Bible lesson that will be taught next Sunday morning in our kids’ classes at Hope Chapel.  They are a valuable tool which can equip you to be the primary nurturers of your children’s faith in your home during the week.

Take some time this week to read through the scripture passages and do a couple of the activities with your children. You’ll be glad you did!
