Children's Ministry

Updates from the Children's Ministry.

  1. Children’s Baptism Classes Coming in May

    Dear Parents of Hope,

If your child/ren have expressed a desire to be baptized this year please plan on attending two classes designed to help kids and parents prepare for the service. If you are unsure about whether or not this is the right year, class number one will help you decide.

The baptism classes are taught by Pastor Matt and parents are strongly encouraged to attend these classes with their children.

The baptism service will be on June 9. It will be followed by an outdoor water fun day and cupcakes on our playground, as is our custom.

Anyone else who would like to be baptized should simply contact a youth pastor or Pastor Matt. They will be happy to talk with you!

Contact Hala to sign up for class (and childcare for younger kids) or if you have any other questions!

  2. Good Friday Service is March 29– Reserve space for your kids today!

Our Good Friday service includes music along with seven Hopites’ meditations and reflections on the seven sayings of Jesus at His crucifixion. It is always a very beautiful and poignant time. Come on Friday, March 29th from 6:30-8:30 PM to hear, worship, and remember Our Lord’s sacrifice.

Please feel free to bring your friends, family, co-workers and/or neighbors.

We recommend the service for children ages 6th grade and up but leave this to the parent’s discretion. Testimonies given may contain more mature content. A meaningful HopeKids program is provided for children in 5th grade and under. Sign up by clicking here. Contact Joelene Michel with questions.

Class starts at 9:30am and we’ll be done by 11. Sign up for the class and childcare by emailing hala.

  5. Parent & Child Dedication Class

    Dear Parents of Hope,

Have you recently added a child to your household? Is it time for you to dedicate yourself to raising this little person in ways that honor the Lord Jesus? Are you looking for support and encouragement as you labor to create a Christian home for your family?

You are invited to join Pastor Matt Ryniker in a conversation about why we dedicate our children and how we can walk out our commitment faithfully. We’ll also discuss common parenting issues and have a time of questions and answers. Couples are encouraged to attend these classes together.

We will meet on Wednesday, October 25 from 6-7:30pm.

The dedication service is scheduled for Sunday, November 12, 2023

Sign up for the classes and childcare by contacting Hala.

  6. HopeKids Classes at 10am Service — What to Expect on Sunday Morning

    Dear Parents,

The HopeKids ministry is happy to be able to provide classes for kids of all ages on Sunday mornings! Currently our HopeKids classes start at 10am and includes age-appropriate worship for all ages. Here’s what to expect this Sunday.

When you arrive, a greeter will escort you to the coffee shop. There you will find the HopeKids kiosk and check in station. One of our friendly volunteers will be glad to get your kids registered and checked in for the morning.

Feel free to accompany your children to class and then participate in the adult worship service. Pick your kids up from their classroom when the service ends.

We look forward to meeting you and your kids this Sunday at Hope Chapel!
