Geno Hildebrandt

Senior Pastor

Geno Hildebrandt was born in Alaska but got to Central Texas as quickly as he could, arriving in Kyle at the beginning of third grade. During his college years in the mid-1970s Geno said ‘yes’ to Jesus, turning from his atheism. Ten years later Geno answered God’s call to become a pastor. He landed at Hope Chapel in late 2005 and has served as senior pastor since 2008. He and his wife PJ have a grown daughter and son.

Debbie Dorman

Director of Worship Ministries

Debbie Dorman grew up in Oklahoma and graduated from Phillips University. Musical worship has been a significant part of her life since childhood. Shortly after she and her husband, Jack were married in 1978, they began leading worship at Hope Chapel. Since then she has written many worship songs, recorded an album, Songs of Hope, (available on iTunes and CDBaby), and is a contributor to the music project Timeless: Ancient Psalms for the Church Today. In addition to overseeing the worship ministry, she and Jack also help lead N2Worship. They have one son, a lovely daughter-in-law, and a wonderful grandson.

Brett Hart

Pastor of Community Life & Arts

Brett grew up in South Dakota before attending Oral Roberts University where he studied theology, ministry, Russian, and pre-med sciences. Since being ordained in 1985, Brett served in various ministry roles prior to joining the Hope Chapel staff in 1999 as Church Planter in Residence. He founded Hope Chapel South in 2000, which morphed into Doxology in 2003. In 2013 Doxology rejoined Hope Chapel where Brett now serves as Pastor of Community Life & Arts.

Matt Ryniker

Pastor of Youth Ministries & Evangelism

Matt Ryniker first found Hope Chapel when he came to study mathematics at the University of Texas at Austin. He served as a volunteer and associate pastor in the college ministry while teaching High School math in the Austin Independent School District. Matt became a full-time pastor in 2010 and is currently a student at Redeemer Seminary. He and his wife Mandy have two daughters and two sons.

Hala Tompkins

Director of Children's Ministries

Hala El-Swaify Tompkins was born to an Egyptian dad and an American mom in Honolulu, Hawaii where she grew up on the most beautiful beaches in the world. She became a Christian when she was 13 and has never looked back. She and her husband Glenn have four wonderful sons, an amazing daughter-in-law, and two beautiful granddaughters who are the joy of their lives. Hala graduated from UT Austin and has lived all over the world. She enjoys teaching children and coaching parents at Hope Chapel to raise their children to know and love the Lord Jesus.

Cosmo Raines

College Pastor

Cosmo is a Serial Inventor and Entrepreneur who founded Spirit Gear LLC in 1996 and Hyper Wear Inc. in 2006. Cosmo has worked in various youth ministry roles in multiple churches over the years, but college students are close to his heart, as it was while in college that he encountered the Lord in new and amazing ways with the help of great leadership.  Cosmo hopes that the Lord will imbue him with the same abilities to challenge and encourage a new generation of Jesus-lovers.

Frank Costenbader

Pastoral Care

Frank and his wife Deborah brought their family to Austin in 1985 to plant a Presbyterian church. His educational background is a BA in Finance from University of Richmond, an MDiv from Gordon-Conwell Seminary, and an MEd in Organization Development from UT. Frank and Deborah have attended Hope Chapel since 1994, where he now serves as Minister of Pastoral Care and Director of Manifold Hope.
